Dear Customer:
The recent severe fluctuations of the Canadian/US Dollar exchange rate is severely impacting the cost structures of products sourced in US funds and sold in Canadian dollars. Accordingly, we will be implementing a currency surcharge
on all orders taken as of October 27,2008.
The base rate for calculating the currency surcharge is established at $1.03 Canadian dollars to $1.00 US dollar as determined by the average Bank of Canada exchange rate of the past six months. Every Monday morning the closing
Bank of Canada exchange rate from the prior Friday shall be factored into the base rate to establish the rate of surcharge for the coming week. This surcharge will be reported as a separate line item on your invoice. We will, as we have with fuel surcharges, maintain the updated rates on our web site (www.multichem.ca) for your review, while at the same time upon receipt of the order your Customer Service Representative shall inform you of the current rate for your records.
